ARMYs have slammed Mexican talk show “Qué Chulada!” for mocking Jungkook of BTS, and giving out misinterpretation that led to defamation.
Here’s what happened.
‘#APOLOGIZETOJUNGKOOK’ Trends As ARMYs Call Out Mexican TV Show For ‘Mocking’ Jungkook
On March 8, Mexican talk show “Qué Chulada!” was dipped in hot water by ARMYs for having mocked Jungkook in one of their episodes.

In the talk show, the hosts have reportedly ridiculed Jungkook, discussing his two-hour Weverse livestream on March 4. Jungkook took the time to interact with his fans, treating them to a series of song covers, reacting to fellow member J-Hope’s “On The Street” MV, and even leaving the camera on while he slept, giving ARMYs another unforgettable memory.
However, in “Qué Chulada!,” the hosts made it seem like Jungkook was under the influence of alcohol during his broadcast.

The show also mocked one occurrence between Jungkook and fans. ARMYs know how much Jungkook goes to the gym in his free time. On the live, Jungkook talked about the people who were waiting for him outside the gym. Although he thanked them for supporting BTS, he kindly requested not to find him when he’s working out, indicating a plea for privacy. Fans commended the maknae for his courtesy and willingness to address the issue.

The well-intentioned context was twisted by “Qué Chulada!,” insisting that Jungkook was “attacking” ARMYs for breach of privacy, and “preventing” him from going to the gym. On one segment, a host called in a staff member, who played the role of the “Mexican Jungkook.” The staff member was also interviewed by one of the hosts, asking if he was drunk in the livestream and if he’s against ARMYs’ “harassment.”

“Qué Chulada!” even shared an Instagram story, showcasing the mocking interview clip, with the caption stating, “Our own Mexican BTS.” The Instagram story has now been deleted.

How Did ARMYs React To This?
With the issue still hot on its trail, ARMYs have trended hashtags #APOLOGIZETOJUNGKOOK and #RESPECTJUNGKOOK on Twitter. They expressed their resentment towards the talk show for trivialization, racism, and defamation.
They also expressed disdain on “Qué Chulada!” on how they handled the episode and using Jungkook for clout. As a result, the TV show’s rating went from 75 percent to a drastic 1 percent score. ARMYs also called out the hosts’ questionable professionalism.
Fans commented:
“The lack of professionalism is unacceptable. That’s something basic for the human being, it’s respect you learn at home, there’s still time.”
“They will make their lack of professionalism clear by mocking, and not apologizing. You must accept your mistakes, to grow as a person and professionally.”
“Apologize to JUNGKOOK and be professional, find out the topic before airing it. An artist deserves respect, and the invasion of PRIVATE life is not a subject to joke about.”
SHUT UP! Our Jungkook has done nothing wrong. Stalking is not ok at all. He has always been kind and polite to us, literally always. He never attacked us. And it’s Jungkook’s and our (ARMYs) own matter antis don’t need to interfere. Better apologize to jungkook, respect #jungkook pic.twitter.com/n9AkcXuYO8

I filed a complaint to Jungkook’s company, [email protected], concerning the defamation your disgraceful staff displayed on Que Chulada. BigHit lawyers are VERY concerned with the safety and well-being of their artists! APOLOGIZE TO JUNGKOOK pic.twitter.com/hYGe9iDCWR— Davi⁷ 🐿🐱🐹⟭⟬💜⟬⟭ (@BangtanGirl4ver) March 8, 2023
