BTS’ Jimin just made history.
Not a stranger to Billboard Hot 100 number 1 hits with BTS, the FACE act made his own impressive mark on the chart. ‘Like Crazy’ shot up the top spot a week after its release, the feat making Jimin the first K-pop soloist and first BTS member to make a Hot 100 number 1 debut. This also marks Jimin’s first Hot 100 number 1 hit as a songwriter.
Fans took over Twitter and Weverse sharing their congratulations, while bandmates RM and j-hope also shared their own messages via their Instagram Stories and Weverse.
The chart-topper himself also dropped a message on Weverse saying “Wow…,” with SUGA commenting praises for his most recent Suchwita guest.
Jimin has six Billboard Hot 100 number 1 hits with BTS including ‘Dynamite,’ ‘Butter,’ and ‘Life Goes On,’ while ‘VIBE’ with Taeyang and ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2’ also made appearances on the chart.
FACE dropped last 24 March, and is the highest charting album by a solo K-pop act, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
