Anticipation was on the rise as fans made their way to New York City’s Terminal 5 on March 10 for the first stop out of nine shows of CIX’s 2nd WORLD TOUR in the U.S. Formed by C9 Entertainment in 2019, CIX has quickly captured the hearts of fans worldwide, ultimately leading up to their 2nd World Tour.

As we walked into the venue, our eyes were immediately drawn to the stage illuminated in blue lights, with the spotlights laying focus on the CIX logo displayed directly in the middle. CIX, an acronym for Complete in X, alludes to the completion of the unknown. When 5 individually talented members come together to form one group, the unknown becomes something complete…and incredible. But it also poses the question: what makes us feel complete? For CIX, that feeling was formed when they united as one. For FIX, that feeling was made this very night.

    COMPLETELY IMMERSED

From the moment the lights dimmed, the venue transformed into CIX’s world. The deep synths and bass of “Numb” started the show off strong, allowing the members of CIX to reintroduce themselves to their New York City fans. They kept the energy going with “What You Wanted” and “Jungle” following soon after, setting the scene for what’s to come.

One glance at the crowd would tell you everything you needed to know: that CIX had their fans completely immersed in their music and performances. Lightsticks illuminated the venue, blending in with the colorful lighting that synced perfectly with the LED screen on the stage. It was the perfect environment for CIX to feel complete with their FIX.

    COMPLETELY FREE

Performances filled with choreography are hypnotic to watch. The synchronization and the strength behind each move reels you in and never lets your attention go. But there is something so freeing about unchoreographed performances – where idols can sing and rap to their heart’s content while interacting with their fans in the crowd, free from worrying over having to hit their next move. This is where the magic happens; where CIX and FIX can connect on a level that is only reached when face to face.

Their performances for “Imagine” and “The One” brought that energy and connection to the stage, prompting numerous interactions that made the night memorable for both CIX and FIX alike. Waves, hearts, and warm smiles bounced from the stage to the audience and back again, creating a perfect loop.

    COMPLETELY BALANCED

When you think of CIX, you think of power. Deep rhythmic beats and mature, hard-hitting choreography are just a few of the elements that make up CIX’s biggest tracks. The stages for “Bad Dream,” their debut track “Movie Star,” and their latest title track “458” brought out that dark, powerful side of CIX, and the audience reciprocated with an energy so paralleled.

The balance manifested itself through CIX’s tour VCRs that played throughout the show. Gentle, peaceful music backed clean-cut visuals of the members, lulling the crowd into a period of much needed rest in between stages. It provided a way for FIX to admire CIX in a more tranquil light, bringing their balanced duality to the forefront.

    COMPLETELY UNIQUE

CIX took “complete” to a different level in these next performances, as they chose to do them completely separate from each other. Each member had their moment on stage as a solo performer, displaying their individual colors.

Yonghee took to the stage first, bathed in cool blue lights as he performed a cover of “Holy” by Justin Bieber, showcasing his sweet vocals through even sweeter lyrics. Next came BX with his rendition of DPR LIVE’s “Jasmine,” bringing calm, cool, and collected hip hop vibes to the stage. Seunghun got the audience jumping with his cover of “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd, subtly tying in a few viral TikTok dance moves throughout his performance. Hyunsuk’s charisma dominated the stage with his performance of “Text Me” by DPR LIVE and had everyone taking their phones out wanting to text him immediately. Last but definitely not least, Bae Jinyoung’s honey vocals serenaded the crowd as he sang “alright” by keshi, and he even added his own choreographed performance to the very end of the song.

Throughout their show, CIX made it clear that when united as 5, they become a complete powerhouse. But when they stand as individuals, they prove to be completely unique with their own strengths.

    COMPLETELY WORTH IT

CIX’s last tour may have been only less than a year ago, but being apart from FIX may have made that feel like a lifetime. BX mentioned that during their 2022 U.S. Tour, FIX made a promise to see CIX again when they were able to make their return, and that promise was kept. These promises and exchanges of sentiments may seem small, but between CIX and FIX these words are worth millions.

The love in the venue was felt from the beginning of the show to the very end. Seunghun shared that CIX will always think of FIX, and will come back whenever and wherever they can. As the New York leg of CIX’s 2nd WORLD TOUR came to a close, FIX left the venue with their hearts full, smiles wide, and feeling completely…complete.
