MBC’s new drama “Joseon Attorney” starring Woo Do Hwan is getting negative feedback from the public after it took a swipe at Lee Je Hoon’s drama “Taxi Driver 2.”
While each series deliver a different genre, the viewers think that the rivalry between the two networks is getting out of hand.
Rivalry Between Two Networks Sparks Criticism in Woo Do Hwan’s ‘Joseon Attorney’

Released on March 31, the historical K-drama series depicts the story of Kang Han So, played by Woo Do Hwan is a lawyer during the Joseon dynasty.
One of his main goals in life is to seek revenge against the person who killed his parents through a rigorous court trial.
Joining Woo Do Hwan in “Joseon Attorney” are WJSN’s Bona and Cha Hak Yeon of “bad and Crazy.”
Meanwhile, Lee Je Hoon’s “Taxi Driver 2” follows the story of the anti-hero Kim Do Gi who is a member of a secret organization that avenges victims that the law wasn’t able to protect.
One of the similarities between the two K-dramas is both lead stars were driven by revenge.
In SBS’ “Taxi Driver” Kim Do Gi’s mother was murdered by a serial killer. That is the reason why he joined the organization led by Chairman Jang, played by Kim Eui Sung.
Kim Do Gi and the rest of the Rainbow Taxi team often disguise themselves to infiltrate the perpetrators and illegal organizations.

However, ahead of the MBC’s drama premiere, netizen’s noticed a dig at “Taxi Driver” after the official poster of “Joseon Attorney” contain a message that read “Take an illegal taxi ride for revenge? We will seek revenge legally.”
With this, some think that this is a subtle attack on Lee Je Hoon’s drama.
According to a media outlet, other viewers see this as “very inappropriate” since MBC included the terms “illegal,” “taxi” and “revenge” which are the common keywords that would pertain to the hit SBS series.

Meanwhile, some expressed their disappointment for allegedly bashing the crime thriller drama with others threatened to boycott the newly released historical K-drama.
On the other hand, viewers were also curious about the possible storyline and turning point of “Joseon Attorney” and were also looking forward if it will have the same plot as “Taxi Driver 2.”
While Woo Do Hwan’s drama has recently just premiered, the Lee Je Hoon-led series is in its second half.
Airing on March 31, “Taxi Driver 2” episode 11 is broadcast every Friday and Saturday.
Interestingly, it will be replaced by another highly anticipated series “Dr. Romantic 3” which stars Han Suk Kyu, Lee Sung Kyung, and Ah Hyo Seop.
