It’s been 5 years since Malaysian singer Nicholas Teo starred in a drama — his final being 2019 Taiwanese sequence A Thousand Goodnights — so his followers are overjoyed that their idol is lastly making his small display screen comeback.
But their manner of supporting the 42-year-old star one way or the other bought netizens elevating eyebrows.
Recently, it was introduced that Nicholas will star in his first Mainland Chinese drama, Ji Wu, reverse Taiwanese actor Talu Wang and Chinese actress Su Xiaotong.
Nicholas, whose love for performing was reignited after collaborating in Chinese selection present Memories Beyond Horizon 2, then took to his socials to share pics of the presents his followers had ready for him on the ceremony.
According to the images posted by Nicholas, his followers had organized for a meals truck and an enormous flower wall for him on the venue.
What netizens discovered bizarre was how his followers positioned a standee of the star proper in the midst of the flower wall, which, truthfully made it appear like a memorial service.
“If I did not see the phrases: ‘Good luck for filming’, I actually would have thought…,” commented one netizen.
Another remarked: “I bought a shock. I’m glad he is tremendous.”
