Being a celebrity has its perks, but most times, they are just like us.
Take Hong Kong actor William Chan, for example.
The 37-year-old, who shot to fame in 2016 Chinese drama The Mystic Nine, recently received a stern warning from a couple of no-nonsense security guards for parking his motorbike indiscriminately at a property in Beijing.
According to a real estate agent who witnessed the incident, the star got a “dressing down” from the security guards.
“The security guard said, ‘Park your bike properly or we will lock it.’… This is why good estate management is very important. They maintain order in the neighbourhood and treat everyone equally,” recalled the real estate agent.
There was also a snap of a sorry-looking William talking to the security guards. Behind him was his bike, which was parked near a ramp leading into the property. There were other bikes parked beside it.
The agent said William listened attentively as he was reprimanded. He later moved his bike.
Netizens were amused by the pic, saying that William looked like a kid facing the music.
There were comments like “He looks like a child being taught a lesson”, “The way he’s scoleded is so funny”, and “He looks so down-to-earth and well-behaved”.
