Hueningkai Expresses His True Thoughts On The TXT Title Track He Struggled To Accept

TXT recently made their comeback with their fifth mini-album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, and revealed a completely different concept from their last comeback with their fourth mini-album’s title track, “Good Boy Gone Bad.”

This time, TXT has a softer concept with fairytale-like themes and a dreamier image.

Their latest mini-album was a resounding success, and the group made history, becoming the first K-Pop group to have every song from their mini-album reach the top 10 of the MelOn Top 100 chart.

They also became a double million seller group thanks to the success of the mini-album.

All tracks from “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” entered on the Top 10 of the MelOn Top 100.

TXT also broke records with their previous mini-album, minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, with which the group became a million-seller group for the first time.

The iconic “Good Boy Gone Bad” era still lives in many MOAs’ heads, and a recent interview with Hueningkai proves it’s also on the TXT maknae‘s mind.

While promoting the song last year, Hueningkai had previously shared a positive first impression of the title track.

I’d never heard a song like this before. It was a new kind of song for me.

And I’d always been hoping that we’d get to do a tough song like this someday, so I thought, ‘This is it.’

However, in his recent exclusive interview with Weverse Magazine, his recollection of his first time listening to “Good Boy Gone Bad” was a bit different.

Hueningkai hilariously shared that he struggled to accept their title track due to its unique style.

To be honest, when I first heard “Good Boy Gone Bad,” I felt like something was different suddenly and it wasn’t my style, so I had a hard time accepting it.

What changed his mind was the energy he felt when they performed the song on stage and the idea that the fans who liked the song would really love the experience.

But after we did it on stage, it felt exciting and I had fun with it. I warmed up to it when I realized people who like it would probably really like it.
