According to the actress, she originally wanted to drop the drama due to its lighthearted and comical themes. In the past years, Jeon Do Yeon has mainly acted in darker noir productions like “You Are My Sunshine,” “Lost,” “The Good Wife” and more.

Though she was drawn to “Crash Course in Romance,” the actress confessed that she sensed a pressure when she received the script, causing her to decline the offer.

In addition to that, the nickname “Queen of Cannes” also made it difficult for her to land projects with fun themes, especially since she has only done serious works for various film festivals.
