Korea’s state-owned broadcast firm KBS is threatening to sue BBC over the British community’s Burning Sun documentary.
On May 21, KBS launched a press release during which they denounced a phase within the documentary during which a Korean journalist alleged KBS’s legal professionals coerced and pressured victims of Jung Joon Young.
The journalist who appeared in BBC News Korea’s documentary Burning Sun claimed that KBS legal professionals contacted and pressured the victims of Jung Joon Young. These claims will not be true and are unfounded.

KBS then clarified that the lawyer who suggested the victims about doable authorized penalties have been the sufferer’s legal professionals and never the printed firm’s representatives.
When the victims state that they have been afraid after a lawyer had suggested if their proof was inadequate that they could be going through authorized penalties, after the BBC narrates that KBS’s legal professionals had contacted the victims, we want to make it clear that the legal professionals have been the sufferer’s representatives.

KBS’s legal professionals then acknowledged that they may formally ask that the BBC rectify their mistake by way of an official press launch.
