Lee Sang Yoon Describes His Mysterious Character In “Pandora: Beneath The Paradise” And His First Impression Of The Drama

Lee Sang Yoon will take on an extreme challenge in his upcoming drama “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise”!

Penned by “The Penthouse” writer Kim Soon Ok and helmed by “One the Woman” director Choi Young Hoon, tvN’s “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” will tell the revenge story of a woman who comes to realize that her picture-perfect life is not what it seems.

Lee Ji Ah will star as Hong Tae Ra, a woman who has lost her memories but otherwise seems to have it all, with a life that anyone would envy. When her wealthy and successful husband decides to run for president, Hong Tae Ra also finds herself entering the spotlight. However, when her memories begin to return, Hong Tae Ra realizes that her seemingly perfect life is actually a fabrication orchestrated by someone else as part of a devious grand plan.

Lee Sang Yoon will star in the drama as Hong Tae Ra’s husband Pyo Jae Hyun, a genius entrepreneur and the chairman of the successful IT company Hatch. A born leader with unquenchable ambition, Pyo Jae Hyun steps into the public eye when he enters the presidential race.

As we inch closer to the drama’s premiere, tvN has unveiled new character stills of the ambitious Pyo Jae Hyun, who has never once missed out on the “top spot” in any aspect. In addition to running his successful IT company Hatch, Pyo Jae Hyun has taken on an entirely new challenge by running for president.

In the new photos, Pyo Jae Hyun exudes natural charisma and confidence with a charming smile. As someone who has everything, including talent, good looks, and a tenacious personality, Pyo Jae Hyun lives his life with ease and has an untouchable aura.

However, he experiences a hurdle when his wife Hong Tae Ra starts recovering her lost memories and getting tied up in a violent whirlpool of dramatic events, putting Pyo Jae Hyun’s career at risk.

On his first impression of the drama, Lee Sang Yoon recalled, “When I first received and read the script, I found the rapid development and constant twists really interesting. You could say that the most important reasons why I chose this project were my trust in the director and my curiosity for Kim Soon Ok’s team. Additionally, I looked forward to this project as it is a completely different color from the projects I’ve done before.”

The actor continued, “I thought that the projects by Kim Soon Ok’s team exuded a powerful color that is unique to the team, but we are creating a project with an entirely new image as Kim Soon Ok’s team’s color integrates with the director’s production. Since I personally believe that a really good and interesting project will be shown as a result, I hope viewers watch positively too.”

Although the character of Pyo Jae Hyun is incredibly sweet towards his family, he is also endlessly cold and tough when trying to make his dreams become reality. Lee Sang Yoon described him as “someone whose true feelings are unknown” and added, “While focusing on what I could do to properly convey Jae Hyun’s various sides, I also thought a lot about how I needed to express myself so that viewers watching the flow of the drama are not easily able to predict new sides of Jae Hyun.”
