‘Our Blooming Youth’ Episode 2: Jeon So Nee Blames Park Hyung Sik for Her Family’s Tragic Death

Park Hyung Sik and Jeon So Nee’s new K-drama “Our Blooming Youth” episode 2 showcase a confrontation between the Crown Prince and Min Jae Yi. 

As Jae Yi, played by Jeon So Nee, find the truth about her family’s death, she figures out something about the royal’s curse. 

On the other hand, “Our Blooming Youth” episode 2 sees a slight dip in viewership. 

‘Our Blooming Youth’ Episode 2 Viewership

After kicking off with a promising start, Park Hung Sik and Jeon So Nee’s historical K-drama encounters a minimal decline in rating. 

According to Neilsen Korea, “Our Blooming Youth” episode 2 garnered an average nationwide rating of 3.6 percent. It is a minor decrease from its pilot episode of 4.219 percent.

‘Our Blooming Youth’ Episode 2′ Recap

The episode continues with Crown Prince Yi Hwan aiming an arrow at Han Sung On. 

He thought that the secret message might be true after it says that a close friend will betray him. 

However, Ha Sung On saved him from being hit by a flying arrow. 

Meanwhile, Min Jae Yi, who is disguised as one of the royal guards gets away from the scene after she thought that someone was trying to kill the royal.

Instead, she came face to face with the Crown Prince and was, later on, recognize as the daughter of the late Governor of Gaesong, Min Ho Seung, who was the royal’s former master. 

Min Jae Yi confessed that she is following the Crown Prince in hopes of finding out the reason behind his father’s death. 

Moreover, she also spoke about the secret letter that he sent to her father. 

After hearing this, the Crown Prince was confused and tells her that he never sent a letter to the governor. 

In “Our Blooming Youth” episode 2, the Crown Prince has to prove that he is capable to be the next King. 

At the royal hunt, Left State Councilor Han Joong Eon feels proud that the Crown Prince will shut down rumors regarding his disability.

With this, Chief State Minister, Kim An Jik requested the Crown Prince to write down a celebratory letter; however, everyone was surprised after finding out that the royal’s hand was bleeding but there were no open wounds.

The Crown Prince requested his right hand to conduct an investigation to see who among his officials plans to betray him.

On the other hand, Mi Jae Yi tells the Crown Prince that it is a trick used by shamans to extort money from wealthy people. 

Furious at what he found out, he ordered his men to another round of investigation to see who among the officials is planning to ruin him. 

As for Jo Won Bo, he tells one of his men that he was the one who planned the bleeding rick against the royal as he wanted to frighten him and would not continue with his plans. 

In the last part of “Our Blooming Youth” episode 2, the Crown Prince gave Min Jae Yi passes to go out of the palace. 

However, she was angered by the royal’s action after he expressed that he will not help her with her plans of finding out the person behind the death of her family as well as clearing her name. 

Min Jae Yi calls him cold and arrogant and blames him for the death of her family. 

That is because his father tried to protect the Crown Prince even if it means his death.
