“Run Into You” Starring Kim Dong Wook And Jin Ki Joo Confirms New Premiere Date

KBS’s upcoming drama “Run Into You” has announced a new premiere date!

Previously on January 6, a representative from KBS announced that “Run Into You,” which was originally slated to premiere in a Wednesday-Thursday time slot that same month, would be halted and rescheduled as a Monday-Tuesday drama.

Following this, on March 2, the “Run Into You” production team finally confirmed the series’s new premiere date by announcing, “‘Run Into You’ will greet viewers on May 1 at 9:50 p.m. KST,” and added, “As it is a project that the actors and staff put their heart and soul into, we hope our sincerity can be well-conveyed to the viewers. We also hope ‘Run Into You’ will be an opportunity [for viewers] to look back on the precious relationships [in their lives].”

With the new premiere date, this automatically means that Kim Dong Wook will have two dramas airing at almost the same time in May. Earlier, tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Beneficial Fraud” (literal translation), also starring Kim Dong Wook as the male lead, announced it will premiere on May 29 at 8:50 p.m. KST.

Considering “Run Into You” and “Beneficial Fraud” are slated for 9:50 p.m. KST and 8:50 p.m. KST respectively, the two dramas’ broadcast times are highly likely to be slightly overlapping.

KBS’s “Run Into You” tells the mysterious story that unfolds when Yoon Hae Joon (Kim Dong Wook), who is traveling to the past to uncover the truth behind a series of murders, meets Baek Yoon Young (Jin Ki Joo), who is traveling through time to prevent her parents’ wedding. In the midst of their strange and beautiful journey through time, the two get stuck in the year 1987.

tvN’s upcoming drama “Beneficial Fraud” is a revenge drama about a con artist who lacks empathy (Chun Wo Hee) and an attorney who is excessively empathetic by nature (Kim Dong Wook). In order to battle evil, these two polar opposites team up to form an unlikely alliance.

“Run Into You” will premiere on May 1 at 9:50 p.m. KST and airs every Monday and Tuesday. Check out a teaser here!
