Viewers might get to see Son Seok Koo and Kim Da Mi in one drama after being selected to play the lead stars of the upcoming series “Nine Puzzle.”
According to media outlets, the duo is in talks to headline the upcoming crime K-drama helmed by “Narco-Saints” director Yoon Jong Bin.
Kim Da Mi Offered to Play Criminal Profiler in ‘Nine Puzzle’
In a report cited by Sports Chosun, an entertainment industry insider shared that Kim Da Mi was chosen to play one of the main characters in “Nine Puzzle.”
She is offered the role of Jo Yi Na, a criminal profiler who is in her 6th year of service as a member of the Crime Analysis Team of the Science Investigation Department of the Seoul National Police Agency. She is lauded by her colleagues as someone who can quickly grasp the criminal’s motives.

Behind her skill lies a traumatic situation. Jo Yi Na is the only witness to her uncle’s death. Ten years after the incident, she finds the answer to the unsolved crime.
If Kim Da Mi officially accepts the role, “Nine Puzzle” will be her comeback to the small screen after the success of the webtoon based romance K-drama “Our Beloeved Summer” with Choi Woo Shik.

Through the upcoming crime series, she will once again capture the viewers’ attention with her versatility and outstanding performance.
Besides “Our Beloved Summer,” she is also known for her feisty character in “Itaewon Class,” together with Park Seo Joon, and the movie “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.”
On the other hand, joining Kim Da Mi as the lead star is none other than Son Seok Koo.
Son Seok Ko In Talks to Play Elite Police Officer in ‘Nine Puzzle’
In an exclusive report cited by Star News, the award-winning star is being courted to headline the series. If he officially accepts the offer, Son Seok Koo will portray the role of Han Saem, an elite police officer who sees people rather than incidents.
Meanwhile, “Nine Puzzle” will be one of the many upcoming projects of Son Seok Koo in 2023. He will reprise his role as Lieutenant Im Ji Sup in the Netflix series “D.P. 2,” along with Jung Hae In and Goo Kyo Hwan.
In addition to Son Seok Koo’s new drama, there is the webtoon based K-draa “Murder DIEary” with Choi Woo Shik.
Prior to the news regarding his team-up with Kim Da Mi, the award-winning star declined the offer to headline the upcoming romance series “Can You Translate This Love?” penned by the renowned Hong Sisters.
According to a report, Son Seok Koo refused the role “due to personal circumstances.”
