In particular, everything started when Yoonsang, a former AWEEK member who’s now in pre-debut team IB147 posted his selfies on the latter group’s official Twitter.
Along with his photos, he wrote a caption, asking fans:
“What is my charm point?”
When his photos were uploaded, they gained a decent number of likes and retweets, given that the official account is new and only has a few followers of less than 1.5k.

With the severe cyberbullying happening to Yoonsang, a lot of K-pop fans expressed confusion as to why he has been receiving such hate despite being a rookie idol.
Upon digging at the comments, the “truth” of why the post is being ratioed has been revealed. Contrary to the initial assumption of most netters, Yoonsang wasn’t being called “ugly” because of his physical appearance.
Rather, people were calling him out for a supposed bullying incident involving him that led a trainee to leave their company.
In the quote tweets, an internet user claimed that the pre-debut group members bullied the OP’s friend into leaving the group. Originally, he was the center of the team but the members felt “salty” about it which led to bullying and pushing him to leave on his own accord.

As a brief context, IB147 is a pre-debut boy group comprised of six members and was initially introduced by HnA Entertainment in February. Yoonsang is currently the leader of the team.
Following the tweet, a lot of people started believing that the male idol is a bully, resulting in overwhelming hate.
Luckily, HnA Entertainment immediately released its official position, clarifying that “no bullying” happened between former trainees and current members.
“Hello, this is HnA Entertainment.
We would like to clarify some things about the speculations surrounding our project team IB147.
First, we have spoken about this rumor to IB147 and confirmed that these are just maliciously distorted rumors on social media based on an incident that happened between the group and trainee A between October to November last year.”

The agency confessed that there is a confrontation that happened between A and the members due to A’s lack of skills and improvement issues, but no in-team bullying happened. Eventually, the company is the one who decided not to include him in the final lineup.
They also denied that trainee A almost became the center, and emphasized that he left even though his contract with the company isn’t finished yet. HnA expressed their willingness to let A terminate his contract with them without sanctions but warned him that they won’t be lenient if they find out he’s actually behind the false accusation and pursues legal action.
