    With KOZ Entertainment’s affiliation with HYBE, fans are understandably curious of the upcoming group. HYBE also houses a multi-label system, which consists of iconic groups, such as BTS, LE SSERAFIM, SEVENTEEN, TXT, NewJeans and many more.

    Zico has also previously mentioned the boy group. On August 4, 2022, Zico appeared as guest on SBS Power FM’s “Two O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show.” He also joined alongside STAYC, a fourth-gen K-pop girl group.

    On the show, the idol-producer talked about different topics, and shared details about KOZ Entertainment’s plans to debut a new boy group on 2023. Zico then announced that the boy group will aim for diversity and won’t be limited to one genre.

    During the interview, Zico was also asked about the group’s objective not to emphasize on a specific genre. The KOZ Entertainment founder explained they’re trying to expand genres, to avoid contradictions regarding the group’s musical color.

    Zico also added how high his expectations are when finding rappers. On the interview, he shared how the group is in need of a versatile rapper, but was still on a hunt to find one.

    Previously on June 15, 2022, KOZ Entertainment uploaded a video, announcing “U18 In The Zungle,” which will launch teen rapper auditions. The tryouts pursued teen rappers who are under 18 years old.

    “We’re trying to create a group that isn’t limited to a specific genre.”

    “If we decided to go a different route, people might say that the color has changed from the previous one, so I’m trying to expand the genres for the group.”

    “I think the group needs a colorful rapper. I’ve been looking for a rapper for a while now, but I still can’t find one. I think it’s because my expectations are high when it comes to rappers.”

    Fans were excited to see the rookie boy group in May. In a forum, many of them stated they’re looking forward to it, and were curious with their music since Zico will be producing them. Others were shocked that HYBE houses KOZ Entertainment.
